Introduction Spec

    Shutter Precision (SP) started in 2007, is a relatively new comer in the dynamo hub business. However, despite being new, their products have proven to be reliable and earned large number of favourable reviews worldwide. In addition to marketing their own label, they also produce for others. There are reportings that SP hubs that have been running for more than 20,000 km without issues. 
     
    The SV-8 is the most refined hub dynamo in Shutter Precision's line up. The version we carry is specifically designed for Brompton's narrow fork spacing and small wheels. According to official claims, the SV-8 is 72% efficient at 15 km/h, 6% higher than the next best German brand. But if we are comparing apple to apple, we have seen test results that their efficiencies are very similar, but SP is at 1/2 the price.  
     
    The SV-8 meets German StZVO standard, and is rated at 6V/3W for 20" wheel. It is compatible with all 6V Dynamo lights on the market.
